Invitational dance

Acrylic on 24"x30" canvas, double gloss varnished, wood framed and wired. Young Inupiaq lady invites everyone to come and dance the "Invitational dance." Drummers in the background with gold paint. A drum behind her creates a halo over her head. Tundra figures creates the shape like "The birth of Venus." She is wearing a traditional kuspuk, mukluks, mittens and ulu earrings.
